There isn’t a fixed schedule, but there is a structure to how time unfolds in Kaş and you step into it.
Mornings start slowly because the town does.
Shops open gradually. Cafés set their tables out onto the street. People stop and talk before deciding where they’re going. You have coffee, maybe walk into town, maybe swim. There’s no pressure to get ahead of the day.
By late morning, you begin to move through the place more naturally.
You know where to go. You recognize faces. You stop for something small, fruit, bread, tea, and it turns into a conversation. Not because it’s arranged, but because that’s how things work here; people stop to enjoy the moments.
A few days during the week, we go further along the coast.
Ancient sites, small villages, places that require local knowledge to reach properly. You’re not moving quickly through them. You have time to understand what you’re looking at, where you are, and why it matters.
Afternoons are often quiet.
The town slows down. People step out of the heat. You find shade, read, swim, or sit, without needing to fill the time.
Evenings are when things come back to life.
Dinner is not quick. Tables fill slowly. Meals extend. Conversations are not interrupted. You begin to understand how much of life here happens around the table.
By the third or fourth day, you are no longer orienting yourself.
You move through the town without thinking about it. You know the streets. You recognize the same people each day. You understand how the place works and how you belong.
You’re not moving through Kaş. You’re living inside it, briefly.
That’s the shift.
Not a change in you, but a clearer understanding of where you are.
That’s the week on the Turkish Coast.

Spring is now in full swing. Wildflowers are all over the hillside. The bougainvillea plants are so big they hang over the streets. Still chilly but the sea is starting to warm and people jump in for a quick dip on the hot days.
Ece is freshening up the villa with new linens and Isa our property manager is there to help freshen up the garden for this summer.
Summer is beginning to take shape faster now. Boats are going back into the water. The shops are all open, galleries, art studios, clothing boutiques and all the seasonal restaurants are now open.
We are excited to see Kaş back in full swing.
P.S. We added a gallery of photos to the site and have made some small updates. As well as putting together a few larger trips compared to our normal size for organizations. This is a big leap in developing Likya Scholars.
Görüşürüz, see you later,
