Program Details

Who is this for?

Those who are new or experienced to foreign travel, and are curious, open-minded, and eager to explore beyond typical tourist paths.​

Likya Scholars is designed for:

• Solo participants
• Pairs traveling together
• Private groups of up to six participants

All cohorts are intentionally small to preserve group quality, depth of experience, and trust among participants.

How many guides are on each trip?

Each trip will run with 2 guides.

What’s included in the program fee?

  1. 14 nights at a coastal villa in Kaş

  2. All meals: homemade Turkish breakfasts, picnic lunches, and a few group dinners out in town (Dinner Saturday and Sunday are on your own).

  3. Daily activities and excursions

  4. Transportation on all group outings

  5. Support from local guides and a trip leader

  6. Cleaning service and laundry

  7. Travel insurance up to $500,000.00 USD

  8. Access to need-based scholarships​

Are there Scholarships?

Yes, we offer limited scholarships for university students.

Payments

You can reserve your spot with a non-refundable $580 down payment (10%). Your remaining balance will be due 45 days prior to your trip.

We encourage early sign ups, as each session is limited to six participants to ensnare you secure a spot.

Accommodation & Room Assignments

Likya Scholars uses shared accommodation as part of the program design. Pricing is per participant, not per room.

Rooms are allocated based on group composition, booking order, and logistical considerations. While most participants share rooms, individual room outcomes can vary depending on group size.

Private rooms are not guaranteed and are not priced separately by default. However, participants who prefer a solo room may request a private room upgrade by contacting us directly, subject to availability. A 35% accommodation upgrade fee applies.

Booking & Group Size

Likya Scholars sessions run with a maximum of 6 participants. A minimum of 4 participants is required for a session to run as planned.

If the minimum participation threshold is not met by the participation deadline, we will notify all confirmed participants and offer the choice of transferring to an alternate session date or receiving a full refund (including any deposit paid).

Travel & Logistics

How do I get to Kaş?

Participants typically fly into Dalaman Airport (DLM) or Antalya Airport (AYT). To get to Kaş. You can take our complementary shuttle, or a local bus company.

Shuttle: Easy, we will set you up with a complementary shared shuttle from the airport to Kaş.

Antalya to Kaş

Antalya is a few extra steps as you need to go to the Bus terminal to get the bus to Kaş, but that’s part of the experience.

Do I need a visa to enter Türkiye?

Visa requirements vary by country. For American passport holders, please visit the official Turkish government website with the link provided. Türkiye requires an e-Visa that you can get very easily online. We recommend buying the visa before you arrive in Türkiye.

Look into getting your e-Visa now. Fees for e-Visas obtained via the e-Visa website (www.evisa.gov.tr) are lower than the fees for visas obtained upon arrival at Turkish airports. Information regarding visa fees can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Can I extend my trip in Türkiye after the program?

We highly recommend to see other areas of Türkiye after the program. Since you will have a better understanding of the culture and communication. Likya Scholars does not organize or supervise travel outside the official program dates. However, we can share general advice and suggestions.

Health & Safety

Is Türkiye safe for travelers?

Yes, Kaş is known for its safety and hospitality. We stay updated on local conditions and have protocols in place to ensure participant safety.​

What if I have dietary restrictions?

We accommodate various dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please inform us of any restrictions by contacting us before your trip.​

What health precautions should I take?

We will say there are none, but we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider regarding vaccinations and health advice for travel.

The tap water is not potable but safe for brushing your teeth. We will provide clean drinking water at the Villa free of charge.
